About SC Business Brokers
We are London-based business brokers working with owners who sell businesses worth £200k to £50m, and with the buyers looking for them, across the UK, the EU and UA. Meet the team below.
Our story
SC Business Brokers started from a gap we kept running into. Owners of smaller businesses had nowhere sensible to go: local brokers were wary of deals that size, and the firms behind large transactions did not think them worth the work.
So we built the practice we wanted to refer those owners to. In the video, our co-founder and CEO explains how we approach a sale.
Our team
The people who value businesses, run the deals and write the guides on this site.

Five years on, we handle deals in three markets. Sellers reach buyers abroad as well as at home. Buyers get a shortlist of options with the analysis behind them, so an investment decision rests on numbers rather than promises.
Vision and mission
Vision. A market where the owner of a £500k business gets the same careful, confidential deal support as the owner of a £50m company, whether the buyer is in the UK, the EU or Ukraine.
Mission. We help owners of small and mid-sized businesses sell at a fair price to the right buyer, and we help buyers find businesses worth owning. A good sale keeps the business running, keeps its staff employed and gives the founder a proper exit.
Our values
- Confidentiality.Buyers sign an NDA and show proof of funds before they learn the business name. Until then the market sees only an anonymous profile.
- Honest numbers. We base a valuation on evidence rather than optimism, because a realistic figure is the one that survives due diligence.
- Preparation. Most deals are won before the first buyer is contacted. We tidy the finances, gather the documents and write the information memorandum early.
- Straight answers.Owners hear our view on price, timing and risk, including the parts they would rather not hear.
- Fair to both sides.A deal only closes when it works for the buyer and the seller. We qualify buyers carefully, so neither side spends months on a poor fit.
- A long-term view.We judge a deal by how the business is doing a year after completion, not only by the day the money moves.
Commitment to sustainability
For a business broker, sustainability starts with the deals themselves. A business that changes hands should keep trading, keep its people and stay healthy under its new owner.
- Businesses that last.We look for buyers who intend to run and grow the business, and we are wary of deals that would strip it for parts.
- Jobs and customers.Staff, suppliers and customers are part of what a buyer pays for. We plan the handover so they are looked after through the change of ownership.
- A lighter footprint. We meet online where we can and share documents digitally throughout the deal, which cuts travel and paper.
Social mission
Professional deal support has long been available mainly to larger companies. We want to change that for smaller owners, many of whom are selling the work of a lifetime.
- Access for smaller businesses. We take on deals from around £200k, a size that many advisers turn away.
- Sharing knowledge. We share what we know through our content and training: guides on valuing and selling a business, market notes in our newsletter and training for business owners. The guides and the newsletter are free, whether or not you work with us.
- Young entrepreneurs and startups. We help young entrepreneurs and early-stage startups turn their ideas into working businesses. We explain how investors look at a company, help prepare the numbers and introduce founders to investors and partners in our network.
- Supporting Ukrainian children. We help Ukrainian children get a good education in Ukraine by supporting schools, learning programmes and educational projects for children. Our team has deep roots in Ukraine, so this work is personal for us.
